Noor A Jahangir was born in Blackburn, England, in 1978. He went to Western County Primary School and at the age of seven, knew he wanted to be a writer. When he turned ten, he was then sent to study at an Islamic boarding school in Ramsbottom, Bury, where he wrote the first draft of the Changeling King.
Following boarding school, Noor studied Engish with Media Studies and Creative Writing at Buckinghamshire Chiltern's University. After graduation, he began working in the Non-profit sector and within a year and a half moved into a senior management position.
He works as a non-profit sector Chief Executive and is a social scientist concerned with identity, multiculturalism and community cohesion.
The Changeling King is Noor's first novel.
